Mission Statement
The MRRA will recruit, retain and develop rugby referees to enhance the game of rugby throughout Manawatu.
Strategic Objective Criteria
All objectives need the following elements:
- An outcome that we are searching for
e.g. attract new sponsorship
- A target that we want to meet
e.g. raise $10k in new sponsorship
- We must be able to measure our progress
e.g. How much have we received against budget
- We may require an initiative to make it happen
e.g. letter writing campaign, personal visit or special offer
- An owner or champion to make it happen
e.g. Sponsorship convenor
Objectives:
Improve Clubroom Performance
- The Outcome
· Increase utilisation of and participation within the clubrooms
- Targets
· member numbers are attending the clubrooms are greater than the previous year
- Measurement of success
l Attendance numbers at organised functions
l Numbers attending clubrooms after Saturday club matches
- Initiative
l New functions to be investigated in conjunction with the social convenor
l Investigate Saturday night activities
l Review bar product range

Enhance Sponsors’ Value
- The Outcome
l Members are aware of products and services that are available from club sponsors. Sponsors are able to leverage off club membership to add value to their investment.
- Targets
l 90% of members know who our sponsors are
l 80% of club members are aware of the product and services offered by club sponsors
- Measurement of success
l Conduct survey or poll on club members awareness of sponsors
- Initiative
l Host a sponsors evening where their products and services can be demonstrated

Build Stakeholder relationships
- The outcome
l Enhance the MRRA’s relationship with the MRU
- Targets
l 2 formal meetings with key MRU representatives discussing issues of mutual interest

l Identified issues are satisfactorily resolved

Create a Social Committee
- The outcome
l Create a social committee that enhances the camaraderie and culture of the Association

l Organise and run 3 functions per year

l 3 functions held with full member participation

l Executive Committee to identify the appropriate convenor
l Functions for 2011 are inclusive of the end of year function and 50 year service awards

Review Executive Committee Structure

l The EC is structured in the most effective and efficient manner
- Targets
l - Review committee structure for member comment at the 2012 AGM
- Measurement of success
l Proposed structure is presented and ratified at the AGM

l Set up working committee with terms of reference to investigate and recommend a new structure if required

Increase Law Exam Pass Rate
- The outcome
l Increase participation and pass rate in the exams
- Targets
l Increase pass rate in Level One to 80% by 2013
l Increase pass rate in Level two to 60% by 2013

l No. of pers eligible to sit Level One and Two exam who pass

l Revise Monday night law program
l Prepare 5 minute law quiz for the meeting
